1728 - Andre Franiois Le-Breton begins translating the Englishman Ephraim into French.
1750 - Due to unskilled translators, Diderot and Jean D'Almbert step in to save Breton's failing project.
1752 - Feeling threatened, King Louis XVI banned the first two volumes of The Encyclopedia.
1759 - Once again, feeling threatened, the king revoked Diderot's license to sell the book.
1790's - Order is restored to France after the revolution motivated, in part, by The Encyclopedia
